Hours of Work: Monday- Thursday 08:00-16:45 | Friday 08:00-12:00

Job Description:

Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for the profitable delivery of contracts and small works from post tender stage. They will ensure that contracts are completed on time, on budget and whilst meeting all QA/HSE standards and requirements and developing excellent relationships with the business’s clients.


Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the project and must have proven experience of:
a. Scope and Schedule Management
b. Risk and Issue Management
c. Finance and cost control management
d. Resource and people management
-The Project Manager needs to be confident dealing with a wide
variety of stakeholders and also needs to adapt their style of management and leadership to each situation.
-Experience of facilitating workshops and meetings is a pre-requisite
for this role.
-The post-holder will have the personal and professional experience
to build and manage meaningful and supportive relationships across the team in order to deliver successful projects.


The Role
Provide first class client support and account management by delivering:
a. Excellent oral and written communications skills
b. Providing professionally produced & timely progress reports and
project updates
c. Ensuring relevant technical and commercial information is
provided to help meet both the clients and the businesses
d. Expanding where possible the businesses portfolio with the client
-Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within the organisation, to define and achieve mutual understanding of the scope of supply.

-Provide guidance and leadership to both internal and external
customers and suppliers, to best meet the project requirement
-Liaise with, provide support and advice to the business’s other
project managers, engineers and delivery team members, to best
meet the project requirement, and other projects requirements, in
a busy and fluid working environment.
-Attend and report at pre-contract and post contract meetings with internal and external clients.
-Oversee the purchase of materials, goods, and services to provide best value for the business.
-To assist and expedite suppliers when and where required, to meet the project requirement.
-To attend site where required, on a worldwide basis, to help ensure high
standards of communication and workmanship are maintained, through to client sign off.
-Ensure construction phase health and safety plans, risk assessments,
COSHH assessments and the health and safety file on completion.
-Assist estimator/sales team at tender stage with relevant lead time
and project costing expertise.
-Compiling and submitting monthly financial project evaluations and
projections, and completed project financial and “lessons learned” reports.
-Assisting with and expediting client invoicing where required.
Carry out other duties requested by the business.

Skills/Experience Required
-Customer focused rounded professional with a can-do positive attitude.
-Excellent presentation skills and an effective communicator, both written and oral.
-Bright, conscientious, and creative. Problem solver.
-Proficiency in MS Office applications, including MS Project.
-Be self-motivated and a true team member – able to work and succeed in a multi discipline environment, to multiple deadlines, milestones and changeable priorities.
-Strong drive to rapidly absorb and develop skills in a wide range of
engineering disciplines with strict attention to detail.


Desirable Qualifications
-Degree level and / or commensurate experience
-APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or recognised project management qualification.

Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
