A Year in Review 2022

2022 has been a big and busy year for Parkburn! As the year comes to a close, we wanted to reflect on what has been a very positive year.

Company Structure

In August this year, Parkburn were delighted to announced that we have become an Employee Ownership Trust. The purpose of this is to ensure that Parkburn continues to grow and innovate for the greater long-term benefit of its employees and customers.

Team Growth

Much like last year, we have been able to continue to expand and strengthen our team within both our Hamilton and Telford Offices.

We have made many key appointments, all of whom bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. Two of which further strengthen our leadership team. James Till has been appointed as our General Manager in our Telford Office and Peter Burke has been promoted to the newly created position of Engineering Manager in our Hamilton office. Our sales department has also been strengthened with the appointment of Andrew Woodward as Sales Engineer.

Projects Completed

Parkburn have completed a record number of projects this year. As ever, we could not have completed these if it were not for our fantastic and dedicated employees, so a special thanks goes out to them as always.

DWC- MacGregor Milestone

In 2022, the first ever MacGregor Fibre Trac Crane was sold.

Parkburn’s Deep Water Capstan (DWC), designed specifically for handling fibre rope, is the core of the crane and when coupled with the Parkburn Lift-Line Management System, provides important rope USAGE data in real-time to the crane operator, including tools for the lift supervisor to review historical rope data, manage maintenance tasks and plan upcoming lift campaigns.

Events and Exhibitions

With in-person events returning, Parkburn were delighted to be able to meet both existing and new clients face-to-face. Some of the events we were able to attend and exhibit at throughout the year included Subsea Expo, Oceanology International and Offshore Wind North East Event.

Looking Ahead to 2023

Looking ahead to 2023, we look forward to continuing our work for existing clients and commencing new projects in the new year.

We also have some great events lined up for 2023 with our first being Subsea Expo in Aberdeen, where we have been shortlisted for two awards in the categories of ‘Company of the Year (0ver 50 employees) and ‘Technology Development Award’. Our Sales Engineer- Andrew Woodward will also be presenting and we will provide more details on this shortly.

We hope to see you there, but if not do not worry as stay tuned to our website for other events we will be attending throughout the year.

Everyone at Parkburn would like to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
